شخصيات مسرحية قرار العمدة صميدة:
1- العمدة صميدة عبد التواب عمدة كفر الزناتي.
2-حريصه الابنة الكبرى وكانت زوجة لعمدة كفر سعده.
3- ذكيه الابنة الوسطى وكانت زوجه لعمدة كفر ابوشوشه.
4-صفيه الابنة الصغرى ولم تكن متزوجة بعد.
5-سعدون شيخ الخفر وبعد ذلك فرحان الغلبان الخادم.
6-عمدة كفر عنيسه.
7-عمدة كفر الدعابسة.
8-الخدم والخفر.
9-عزوز عمدة كفر ابوسلومه.
10-أخوه عمدة كفر ابوسلومه.

قرار العمدة صميدة!!!

كان يا مكان يا سادة يا كرام، في سالف العصر والأوان، عمدتنا الهمام عمدة كفر الزناتي: العمدة صميدة ولد عبد التواب.وزي ما بيقول القران"المال والبنون زينة الحياة الدنيا" صدق الله العظيم.
وهب الله سبحانه وتعالى لعمدتنا الهمام تلات بنته، طلعتهم بهية، وعيشتهم هنيه، وأكلتهم مرية، وفرشتهم طرية.
الكبيرة واسمها حريصه وهي حريصه واتجوزت عمدة كفر سعدة، وأختها الثانية ذكيه واتجوزت عمدة كفر ابوشوشه، أما الصغيرة صفية وهي أخر العنقود يعني سكر معقود.العركة والخناقة عليها كانت حاميه قوي راجلين زى الفل عايزين يتجوزوها ومن أبوها طلبوها، عمدة كفر عنيسة وعمدة كفر الدعابسة. لكن البنية كانت محتارة مين فيهم تختار عشان يبقى رفيقها علطول.
يا لا بينا دلقيت نبدأ الحكاية وحقولها يارجاله من البداية...
كلتنا عارفين الهيجان والميجان اللي عملاه النساوين اليمين دول قال إيه عايزين يبقو زي الرجالة ويشتغلوا زيهم، طايب تيجي ازاي دي يا بوي فهموني!
العمدة صميدة الهمام عجبته الفكرة وعايز يعملها، وفي يوم جمع الغفر والمشايخ ووقف فيهم وقال: أنا رايح ادي بناتي كلت فلوسي وحالي محتالي كمان إيه قولكم يا رجاله! واتشال واتهبد الرجاله كليتهم وقالوا عليه لسع .بس يا بوي العمدة صميدة راسه ناشفه قوي وقرر يعمل اللي في دماغه.وفي يوم من ذات الأيام جاب بنتته التلاته ودخلهم عليه واحده ورا واحده.
دخلت الأولى حريصه وقلها:
قد إيه مع تحبي بوكي يا بنيتي؟
حريصه : وه يا بوي مع حبك قوي قوي كد الدنيا دي كليتها واكتر من نور عنيا كمان.
العمدة صميدة اتشال واتهبد ومن الفرح كان حيطير وراح مديها تلت اللي معاه من مال ودهب.
الدور دلقيت على ذكيه وفعلا دخلت وقلها نفسية السؤال وردت وقالت: خباري يا بوي ايوه بحبك قد خيتي حريصه واكتر منها شويتين كماني.
وجات للعمدة على الطبطابة وداها برديك تلت الفلوس والدهبات.
وجيه الدور على أخر العنقود حبيبة بوها صفيه وقلها نفسية السؤال برديك وردت البنيه وقالت: بوي ايوه مع احبك لانك بوي بس بعد ماتجوز حيكون جوزي أبو عيالي زييك.
ساعتها العمدة اتنفخ والدم من عنيه فط وزعق فيها وقال:قولي زي خياتك يا بنيتي بس مرديتش.هي مع تحب بوها بس هي كانت حكيمة وعاقلة وطيبة كماني. وقرر العمدة يدي حريصه وذكيه نصيب خيتهم ويحرمها منيه.ساعتها كلمه شيخ الغفر سعدون الامين بس العمدة ركب دماغه ومرديش يسمعله. وفي نفس الوقت خطاب البنيه صفيه نقصوا واحد وهو عمدة كفر عنيسه، بعد ما عرف بالخبر مرديش يجوزها باين عليه كان طمعان . بس عمدة كفر الدعابسة
عجبته البنيه وصمم وقرر ياخدها واتجوزت منيه بعديها علطول.وقعد سعدون مع العمدة ينصحة بس ادقول إيه في نشفان الدماغ ده كمان عايز يطرده من البلد واللي ممشاش هيتويه وبعديها بشويه مشى سعدون وهمل البلد.
قبليت ماتمشي صفيه قالت لخياتها كلمتين: بوكم خلوه في عنيكم وعل كد ما اداكم حبوه! وبكت البنيه ومشت صفيه.
بقي العمدة وحديه وشوية غفر قاعدين معاه عند حريصه. وظهرت النوايا الطين والربايه المقندله من بته اللي كانت مش متحملاله كلمه ولانسمه. واخرها ياخي حكايه غفره قالت ليه قال ايه مشيهم دول مع ياكلوا ويشربوا ببلاش ومالهمش خدمه ولا ردمه، وزي مابيقول المثل كمان أكل ومرعى وقلة صنعة.
زعل العمده قوي وقلها انا حتصرف معاهم. ودا تريه سعدون الامين مهانش عليه يسيب العمدة لوحديه ولبس جلابيه مقطعه وحطله كمان دقنه وشنب وسمى نفسه فرحان الغلبان وقعد وبقي يخدم العمدة صميدة.
وفي مرة من ذات المرات، قال العمدة للخدام يجيب ليه شوية ميه بس الخدام مرديش وقله العمدة ليه ياولدي، فراح قايله دي اوامر الست حريصه.
وقف ليه فرحان الغلبان وزعقله وخلاه يجيب الميه.زعل العمده قوي وندب حظه وبخته زي الولايه، وقرر يقعد مع بته ويسالها عن السبب.
وقال العمدة لحريصه: ليه عيزاني امشي رجالتي يا بتي وكمان مش حاملالي كلمه كمان!
ردت وقالت: دول مالهمش عازه ولازم يمشو!
بس العمدة رفض!
وبكل بجاحه ردت يانت ياهما في الدوار تقعد.
وساعتها قرر يروح لدوار بته ذكيه عند جوزها عمدة كفر ابوشوشه.
ولما عرفوا بالخبر عملوا نفسيهم قال ايه مسافرين، دول كانوا عايشين في دوار واسع ومفروش بالغالي. وجات المراسيل من خيتها تقول ليها على اللي حصل وتقسي قلبها عليه وتقول ليها تطرده كماني ومكفهاش ده كلوا لا دي كمان جات بنفسيها.
وقالت ذكيه لبوها: بوي عيزاك تروح مع حريصه وتحب على راسها كمان وتمشي غفرك.
العمده زعل واتنفض ومارديش يعمل أي حاجه وقال ماعاش ولاكان اللي خليني اعمل اكده. وساعتها بس حس العمده بهبل وعبط رايه وقال قطيعه تقطع البنته وخلفتهم.
وفي نفس الوقت كانت النطره عماله ترخ والبرد والرعد شغالين والعمده ورجالته في الطل واقفين واشتغل العمده يندب حظه وخلفته المقندله وكان زعلان قوي واتمنى لو النطره تاخدلوا بتاره من قلة اصل بنتته.وقله خدامه فرحان الغلبان يروح معاه بس مرديش وسابوه رجالته ومشوا، وراح هو للجنينه المهجوره وقعد هناك يبكي وينوح.
وساعتها كان شيخ الغفر سعدون بيدور عليه ولقيه، وزعل قوي عليه وطلب منيه يروح معاه بس مرضيش وكان عقله ابتدى يروح منيه وكنه وليه رايح يجن من عمايل بنتته. قدر سعدون ياخده وفي بيته يخبيه وعن عنين الناس يداريه.وسافر لكفر الدعابسه وقال لصفيه وجوزها على اللي حصل لبوها وقررت تاخد بتار ابوها من خياتها. وساعتها العمده كان من الرجاله هرب وراح وفي غيط البرسيم وقعد وكان ياولداه فقد عقله وجنن.خدته البنيه صفيه وجابت ليه الحكما ووصفوا ليه الدوا وقالوا راح يبقى كويس.واول ما فاق بص في وش بنيته وبقي يبكي وقال ليها سامحيني!
ردت البنيه وقالت مسامحاك يابوي وبتارك حاخد.
ودايما يا خي العين تبص للي في ايد غيرها وماتكونش قنوعه ابدا، حريصه وذكيه عشقوا راجل واحد هم التنين وهو غزوز أخو برهومه عمدة كفر أبوسلومه ده كمان تاريه قتل اخوه وبقي هوه العمده مكانه.
جوز ذكيه مات وخلاص كانت حتتجوزه. خيتها حريصه غارت منيها وقررت تتاويها. وعزمتها على الغدا وحطت ليها السم في الوكل وكلوا وتمام التمام وجا وقت الشاي ولما جابت حريصه الشاي وراحت تجيب الميه حطتلها خيتها السم في الشاي وشربت حريصه الشاي وفي وقت واحد ماتوا هما التنين وانتقم الباري منيهم. سبحان الله "إن كيدكن عظيم" صدق الله العظيم .(سورة يوسف الايه 28)
ولكن النهاية باين عليها مش رايحه تبقى سعيدة عشان غفر حريصه وذكيه قتلوا خيتهم صفيه ولما سمع العمده صميده بالخبر مات بعديها علطول.
لكن ياعم انتا مقلتناش العمده عرف اني خادمه فرحان الغلبان هوه سعدون الامين ولا له؟
سعدون حاول يقول ليه بس مالحقش وكان فات الاوان.
"وتوته توته فرغت الحدوته حلوه ولا ملتوته"

Omar Khayyam

Omar Khayyam's full name was Ghiyath al-Din Abu'l-Fath Umar ibn Ibrahim Al-Nisaburi al-Khayyami. A literal translation of the name al-Khayyami (or al-Khayyam) means tent maker and this may have been the trade of Ibrahim his father. Khayyam played on the meaning of his own name when he wrote:-
Khayyam, who stitched the tents of science,Has fallen in grief's furnace and been suddenly burned,The shears of Fate have cut the tent ropes of his life,And the broker of Hope has sold him for nothing!
The political events of the 11th Century played a major role in the course of Khayyam's life. The Seljuq Turks were tribes that invaded southwestern Asia in the 11th Century and eventually founded an empire that included Mesopotamia, Syria, Palestine, and most of Iran. The Seljuq occupied the grazing grounds of Khorasan and then, between 1038 and 1040, they conquered all of north-eastern Iran. The Seljuq ruler Toghrïl Beg proclaimed himself sultan at Nishapur in 1038 and entered Baghdad in 1055. It was in this difficult unstable military empire, which also had religious problems as it attempted to establish an orthodox Muslim state, that Khayyam grew up.
Khayyam studied philosophy at Naishapur and one of his fellow students wrote that he was:-
... endowed with sharpness of wit and the highest natural powers ...
Outside the world of mathematics, Khayyam is best known as a result of Edward Fitzgerald's popular translation in 1859 of nearly 600 short four line poems the
Rubaiyat. Khayyam's fame as a poet has caused some to forget his scientific achievements which were much more substantial. Versions of the forms and verses used in the Rubaiyat existed in Persian literature before Khayyam, and only about 120 of the verses can be attributed to him with certainty. Of all the verses, the best known is the following:-

By the help of God and with His precious assistance, I say that Algebra is a scientific art. The objects with which it deals are absolute numbers and measurable quantities which, though themselves unknown, are related to "things" which are known, whereby the determination of the unknown quantities is possible. New Directions in Cognitive Linguistics(two volumes)Edited by Vyvyan Evans and Stéphanie Pourcel This edited two volume set is in preparation, and under contract to John Benjamins (to appear in the Human Cognitive Processing series)

This two volume set forms a coherent collection of original papers relating to new directions in Cognitive Linguistics. Cognitive Linguistics is now, 25 years after the publication of one its seminal texts, Metaphors We Live By, a mature theoretical and empirical enterprise, with, by now, a voluminous associated literature. Indeed, it is arguably the most rapidly expanding ‘school’ in modern linguistics, and one of the most exciting areas of research within the interdisciplinary project known as cognitive science. As such, Cognitive Linguistics is increasingly attracting a broad readership both within linguistics as well as from neighbouring disciplines including other cognitive and social sciences, and from disciplines within the humanities.
Nevertheless, one of the difficulties attendant upon the proliferation of published research in Cognitive Linguistics has been the recycling of much of the early theoretical apparatus in the often very detailed descriptive analyses that have followed since. A further perceived weakness of Cognitive Linguistics, particularly as articulated most frequently by psychologists and other cognitive scientists, has been the lack of a rigorous methodological ‘toolkit’, and the absence, until relatively recently, of an appropriately broad empirical base.
These two edited volumes constitute a venue in which genuinely new directions in Cognitive Linguistics are presented. In particular, the volumes survey new approaches to established phenomena in Cognitive Linguistics, including approaches to figurative language, lexicalisation patterns, cross-linguistic variation, grammar, and the relationship between language, conceptual structure and experience. In addition, the volumes also showcase a representative selection of both new methodological and empirical approaches now increasingly being deployed in Cognitive Linguistics. A further important aspect of the volumes is that leading experts explore new areas of research within Cognitive Linguistics, e.g., cognitive sociolinguistics. In addition the volumes showcase recent trends in the application of Cognitive Linguistics, including ‘critical’ cognitive linguistics, cognitive stylistics, applied cognitive linguistics and cognitive discourse analysis.

Introduction

This book is as unassuming as it is impressive. This paper deals with translational problems experienced by trainees in the field of medical translation. The problems are divided into three groups: language typology, text typology and medical terminology. In language typology, the first section touches on linguistic and cultural issues in medical translation arising from the unrelatedness of languages and diversity of cultures. In the second section, functional theories are taken as a model to classify and explain medical text types. In the last section, medical terminology is studied from the viewpoint of Turkish medical language in such a way as to sensitize the trainees to correlations between choice of terms and text types.

At times interpreters and translators are required to use their discretion to assess situations they encounter and make decisions based on grounds that they can fully justify and that are in the best interests of the profession. This paper examines the universality of codes of ethics for interpreters and translators and argues that these are not fully applicable across different settings within the same country or across countries and cultures. Utilizing data from real-life situations, this paper proposes strategies for overcoming ethical dilemmas in real interpreting and translation work.
Review of Westward Transmission of Chinese MedicineDuoxiu Qian, Beihang University, China
This paper gives an overall and objective review of past and present westward transmission of Chinese Medicine through translation in and outside China. It argues that many factors, which generally fall into Katherina Reiss’ linguistic and extra-linguistic categories, have caused problems in the translation with subsequent unsatisfactory reception of Chinese Medicine in the West. Through analysis of examples of such problems, the paper argues that although the popularity of Chinese Medicine as an alternative medicine is growing in the West, its translation still needs improvement. A computer-aided approach to translation is suggested.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:

The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [ The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: He is learned. And you recited the Quran that it might be said [of you]: He is a reciter. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I left no path [untrodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: He is open-handed. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

دموع هلال رمضان



قالوا أنّكَ آت.. فأشرقت الليالي بنور رؤاك وتكفكفُ دمع الحرمانِ عن وجه الزمان ..,وأَخطَرَ الفقراءُ بأنَّه ثمّة بلسم شافٍ سيخفّفُ آلامهم ..وكفُّ دافئة تحنو عليهم وتربت على أكتافهم.
لمَّا هلّ هلالُكَ العاجيّ ، استبشرت عيون الفقراء خيرا وتراقصت عيونِ الأطفال فرحاً ،ورنمت قلوبهم العذراء ترانيم الفرح ، وباتت العيون تنشد مرأى الهلال ، تحلم ببريق السعد ، يطرُقُ بابهم قلبٌ ندي ، ويتركُ لهم تذكاراً من هذه الحياة ، يخبرهم أنّ السعادة آتية ، وفي حقيبة كل منهم تمراً وفرحـاً..

جئتنا وسحابك يمطر معان العفو والرحمة والمودة ..وصداك يردد دوماً ساعدوا إخوانكم الفقراء, ، يذكّر الأغنياء حين يتلوون جوعاً وألماً بمعانٍ شردت كثيرا عن ذاكرتهم ..
أتيتَ تبحثُ في جيوبهم الحريرية خيراً عن بعض اليوروهات تائهةٍ في مغاراتها ، تنقيها ، تطهّرها ، تعطّرها ، ثمَّ تخفيها بصمتٍ في جيوبِ الفقرِ المثقوبة حاجة و أسى ..
كانت نبراتك جلية رخيمة، تنطق بمساعيك و أهدافك ، وأسباب ِمجيئك ..وكنتَ بارع الإطلالة... سبحان من أبدعك !لكنّني أتيتُ اليومَ في موعدكَ فما وجدتُّ معانيك .. ذهبت إلي و فلسطين و العراق و لبنان و أفغانستان فما وجدت معانيك...
رحتُ تائهةً في الشوارعِ حيرى ، يسوقني الألمُ ...تدفعني الوحشة... تؤلمني دمعة رأيتها في عين طفل عربي جريح ..
وجلست أرقبك من بعيد ...حتى تملكني شعور غريب... إنك تبكي...نعم أراك تذرف الدمع... رأيتك و تمزق قلبي عندما مررت بطفل استبدلوا فانوسه الجميل بأطنان من القنابل العنقودية...
بكى القلب وجعاً وجرحا ونزلت دموعه دماً كلما صادف وجهاً عربيا سكنه التشرد والتشتت و الحرمان و استبدل الترح أماكن الفرح في عيونه و أُسدلت ستائر الظلمة و الدمار و ساد الصمت و غطى الأفق...
ولكن الأنيـن كان أقوى من الصمت..سمعته يقتلني..يغتال بطيناي في كل لحظة... ليقهر الصمت و يوقظ الضمير...
قم يا ضمير الأمة من غفوتك التي طالت...
انهض كفاك أنانية ... اركض لتسمع نبضات الحياة في قلبي ...
" لا تكترث بها" تصرخ في أذنيه الأنانية...
تتعالي النبضات و تقهر صوت الأنانية...وترهق عيون الضمير صورة ملامح عربية عراقية كانت أو لبنانية ...فيفيق منقادا وراء الصدى ... صدي صوت الإنسانية ...
أسمعه يردد ..اسمعه معي ...صوته يعلو و يعلو في الفضاء ...يقول:
لنـا إخــوة
فـي الديـنِ
فـي الوطنِ
فـي الإنسانيّة
أنهكتهم أنانيتك يا إنسـان
فمتـى تستيقظ يا أخي...!
فمتـى تقوم لتمسح دمعة أخيك
فمتـى ترفع يدك تبتهل لله و ترجوه الرحمة و العفو و المغفرة

On Translating Idioms and Proverbs

Proverbs and idioms tell much about a people's traditional ways of experiencing reality, about the proper or expected ways of doing things, about values and warnings, and rules and wisdoms the elders want to impress on the minds of their young. The punch line character of proverbs--the shorter the better--makes it easy to commit them to memory for ready recall when the occasion calls for serious or humorous comment or admonition. Created by people in high and low stations, humble folk and great authors, borrowed from ancient or neighboring cultures, proverbs have been accumulating over many centuries. Some are only locally known; many are shared and transmitted around the world through translation.

Linguistically, An idiom is an expression which is unique to a language and cannot be understood simply from the meaning of its individual words. In other words, the actual meaning of an idiom is not the total of the meaning of its individual parts. An idiom is a figure of speech. English has many idioms, such as:
It's raining cats and dogs.
He's the top dog around here.
He spilled his guts.
She had a cow when I got home late last night.
I'm just pulling your leg.
You hit the nail on the head.
He's still wet behind the ears.
Can I chew on your ear?
Language translation is clearly an art. As readers, we all value good translations. As a translator, I've approached the task with a sense of excitement and respect. A translator tries to produce an honest piece of work that captures the spirit of the text. Of course, S/He sometimes make more than my share of errors, from mere typographical to profound. Do not be surprised to learn that s/he has missed the real meaning of some of the proverbs. Nor is s/he sure that s/he has successfully balanced the English rendering of each proverb's translation between the letter and the spirit. An interlinear translation presents each line of the source text with a line directly beneath it giving a word by word literal translation in a target language.
Interpretive cognitive translation refer to a translation which he considers to include "interpretation" of the meaning of the source text, rather than simply the "translation" of that text. But since it is impossible to translate anything without determining its meaning (and such determination is, by definition, what interpretation is), this term is technically a misnomer, but it does take on some true logical meaning if the term itself is interpreted (!) to refer to a degree of interpretation on the part of the translator which the critic considers to be greater than necessary.

(each choice is really the same thing)
Two sides of the same coin
(two aspects of a situation that are connected by necessity)
In for a penny, in for a pound
(if you're going to make a minor commitment you might as well make the entire commitment)
Don't count your chickens before they're hatched
(don't start making plans for something until it is a reality, rather than a pleasant speculation)
Don't cross your bridges before you get to them
(don't worry about future problems before you need to)
A stitch in time saves nine
(if you take care of a problem while it's small you won't have a bigger problem to deal with later)
(or, as Dr. Who likes to say: A stitch in time takes up space)
Time and tide wait for no man
(act in a timely fashion because you can't get back lost chances)
(or, once again as Dr. Who likes to say: Time and tide melts the snowman.)
If you're too open-minded, your brains will fall out.
Age is a very high price to pay for maturity.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he'll be a mile way - and barefoot.
Going to church doesn't make you a holy person any more than going to a garage makes you a mechanic.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

Cognitive Translation of Metaphor
Abstract

This study points out that the translation of metaphor is one of the most central cognitive tasks.Hence, translation like women may look beautiful, though sometimes not faithful, translators do their best to reach the point of finding the closest natural equivalents for the Source Language text that can realise the closest conceptual metaphoric re-constructions for the Source Language Qudsi Hadith text-metaphor.

What is a Qudsi Hadith?

Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty.
Among the many definitions given by the early scholars to Sacred Hadith is that of as-Sayyid ash-Sharif al-Jurjani (died in 816 A.H.) in his lexicon At-Tarifat where he says: "A Sacred Hadith is, as to the meaning, from Allah the Almighty; as to the wording, it is from the messenger of Allah (PBUH). It is that which Allah the Almighty has communicated to His Prophet through revelation or in dream, and he, peace be upon him, has communicated it in his own words. Thus Qur'an is superior to it because, besides being revealed, it is His wording."

Few Things About Me

Heba Alkady is a Demonstrator at Faculty of Arts, Dept.of English Language and Literature.She has been working there for three years now. She is the daughter of an Upper Egyptian well known family. Her father was a typical conservative and open minded Upper Egyptian agricultural engineer. Being based in a family that glorifies the value of soil and the countryside , the father was in love with the pure values of the land that’s why he was always planting this love in her heart’s soil.The father’s interests in Islamic culture and politics were one of the deeply rooted influences in her character.
I got my B.A. in English language and literature in 2002 with Very Good as a whole grade. In this same year, I went to resume my postgraduate study in Cairo university. I admit that my shift to Cairo caused a cultural shock that turned out to be one of the factors molding my character. In March 2003, I was appointed as a demonstrator at faculty of Arts, English dept…..Now the 1st step of my glorifying wish is being attained. Thanks are due to all my graceful teachers and Professors at Qena and cairo.
The course had a great impact on developing my career and personality; and directing my researching tenet. It added new notions and idioms to my life dictionary. I cannot forget the diversity of arenas, books and educational sources I found there. The codes and virtual values adhered by professors, were something appealing to my psyche, especially their respect and appreciation for time and for the task I am bearing on my shoulders. Amazing is their gratitude of the meshes of knowledge and learning.
By the end of 2003 I got my preliminary certificate then I was back to start my work as a demonstrator. I have now a 3 year experience in teaching linguistics and translation. And now I am working on my masters. May Allah bless us all.
As for my interests, I adore reading culture ,theology, linguistics and literature. I am indulged in the ecstasy of painting. I also care for being in touch with the up-to-date technologies and dernier cri. The internet is one of the things that shifted my interests. Now, I’ve my online class. I am eager to make humane words appeal to hearts. I love my students because they remind me of my mischief during the undergrad level.
